Surface and Material
The final clear coat layer comes in the matte version and is identical to the clear coat used on BMW Performance Parts. The surface of the carbon part is unique for each piece and resembles marble. The BDC is laminated by hand at Ilmberger, cures in multiple stages in the autoclave, and impresses not only with its exciting appearance but also with its technical properties. The various fibers scatter the incoming light and create an unprecedented reflection.
Protection and Quality
To optimally protect this high-quality material from environmental influences of all kinds, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. This, in combination with our clear coat, provides an unparalleled and unique depth effect that particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
